Safety Director (Charm Location)

Some of the responsibilities of this position are:

  • Develops and implements workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and the state of Ohio safety standards.
  • Provides co-workers with safety-related information i.e. training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Oversees the company’s daily safety operations and identifies opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
  • Performs safety audits and physically inspects all campuses, work areas and jobsites to identify possibly safety issues.
  • Attends regular professional development opportunities.
  • Leads monthly safety committee meetings.

Some of the requirements of this position are:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in OSHA standards and federal safety.
  • An understanding of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace.
  • The ability to conduct data analysis and report statistics.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or logistics preferred.

 

 

Maintenance – Mill Operations (Charm Location)

Some of the responsibilities of this position are:

  • Being part of a Team that maintains and repairs a variety of Millwork Equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of equipment utilities.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Supporting the Production Team with continuous improvements.

Some of the requirements of this position are:

  • Supports and applies Keim Lumber’s Core Values, Mission & Vision Statement.
  • Mechanical interest and a detailed mindset.
  • PLC and technical equipment experience preferred but not required.
  • Good communication skills and desire to provide great service.
  • Safety focused in all tasks.
  • Doing occasional off hour equipment maintenance.

 

 

Finger Jointer Operator (Charm Location)

Some of the responsibilities of this position are:

  • Setup and Operate Finger Jointer efficiently.
  • Inspect Finger joints & material quality.
  • Lead finger joint team to assist in change overs.
  • Assure safe machine operations and all procedures are followed.
